The department is to create world class Operation Theatre and Anesthesia Technology Professionals who can contribute meaningfully to the social, economic and health development of the country.
OBJECTIVES
- Preparing the Operating Theatre & equipment required to perform surgery.
- Work closely with the Surgeon and assist him in the surgical procedure.
- Assisting the Anesthetist in the acquisition, preparation, and application of various types of equipment required for the delivery of anesthesia care.
- Preparing and assisting in the delivery of Anesthetic medication in the right dosages to the patient.
- Overseeing the smooth functioning of clinical equipment used during surgery and post-operative care.
- Explaining procedures, observing and positioning patients, and using protection devices to ensure safety and comfort during treatment.
